Thinkwell Group, the global experience design and production company, has announced it has been purchased by TAIT in a deal that will see the firms combine their talents and expertise. The transaction will enable the newly expanded company to position itself as a comprehensive end-to-end developer of entertainment and experiences.
TAIT has been a global leader in the live entertainment industry since it was conceived in 1978. The organisation’s varied group of markets includes amusement parks, theatres, cruise ships, liver performances and corporate events.
TAIT has worked with prestigious clients including The Walt Disney Company, Princess Cruises, Universal and the Olympics, as well as popular culture live events for U2 and the Fortnite World Cup.
Central to the company’s services, the TAIT Navigator is an industry-leading show control and proprietary automation platform that maximises the potential of each client’s creative vision.
Continuing to lead
For more than two decades, Thinkwell has created compelling and immersive experiences around the world with a slate of clients across varying sectors including Alphabet, Cirque du Soleil, Lionsgate, Warner Bros., and the Smithsonian Institution. Thinkwell has offices in Los Angeles, Montréal, and Abu Dhabi, which have serviced over 2,000 projects in 28 countries.
Leading its teams and collaborators around the globe are a leadership team comprising CEO Joe Zenas, COO and CFO François Bergeron, and CCO Craig Hanna, who will remain with the company.

The latest acquisition sustains TAIT’s continued growth which recently included the addition of ITEC Entertainment, boosting the firm’s credentials in creative design, including media and interactive content.
Zenas says “For decades, our incredibly talented teams have created some of the most engaging and dynamic experiences for brands and IPs around the world. The combination of Thinkwell’s world-class talent and extraordinary project portfolio with TAIT’s ambitious vision and shared commitment is a natural progression to expand the global footprint and broaden the reach of both companies.”
TAIT’s CEO Adam Davis adds: “Thinkwell’s trusted reputation, exceptional talent and extensive portfolio are valued by all of us at TAIT. Together we will usher in a new era of live and location-based entertainment for the industry.”
Earlier this year, members of the Thinkwell team spoke to blooloop about its work on the USA Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.
