Tivoli World, a landmark amusement park on the Costa del Sol, is in line for a €300 million makeover.
According to The Olive Press, Tivoli Worldin Benalmadena will be completely overhauled with the addition of 43 new attractions. These are set to include a mini Formula 1 circuit, an Everest expedition attraction and an extreme stunts arena.
Land adjoining the site has also been earmarked for a commercial and leisure centre.
The developer is Madrid-based Tremon. It is planning to construct a 152,000 square metre complex. There will also be gardens and a 2,000-space car park.
A potential spanner in the works is an ongoing legal dispute between Tremon and the park’s previous owner, Rafael Gomez.
If a resolution can be found, the park is expected to take two years to complete.
