Toverland unveils a new menacing mining-themed experience

Toverland, an amusement park in the Netherlands, has announced a new haunted house called ‘Now You’re Mine’ for Halloween.

From 7 October, Toverland in Sevenum will offer 16 family-friendly Halloween days and 13 horrifying Halloween nights.

During the nighttime event, 160 scare actors will be located across five scare zones and six haunted houses – including the new mining-themed experience.

Here, guests will find themselves in a mining museum with a temporary exhibition on a fictional character called Mijndert Müller.

According to Toverland, Müller went into a mine to find the philosopher’s stone, said to contain an elixir of life. He disappeared and was never seen again.

Additionally, the ‘Cirque’ scare zone has been enhanced for this year’s Halloween. Visitors will meet “freaky circus performers” and enjoy nostalgic fairground attractions.

Toverland’s remaining scare zones are ‘Fiesta de los Muertos’, ‘DesTroy’, ‘Morgana’s Frozen Knights’ and ‘Shadows of the Sea’.

As for haunted houses, Toverland will be home to ‘The Witches Forest’, ‘Trapped’, ‘Maison de la Magie’, ‘The Dollhouse’ and ‘Fear the Woods’.

Updated ‘Cirque’ scare zone

Family-friendly offerings include the new ‘Magic Forest’ experience, the ‘Toos & Morrel Go Scaring’ show, and a pumpkin farm with 40,000 gourds.

Toverland contains six themed areas with 40 attractions and shows. It also boasts Troy, the fastest, longest and tallest wooden coaster in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg.

Earlier this year, Toverland opened four new rides as part of its €11.5 million Avalon expansion. Avalon first opened in 2018 with Fénix, a €17m Bolliger & Mabillard coaster.
