TRIOTECH to create two major Larva-themed attractions for Jeju Shinhwa World theme park

Leading creator of award-winning media-based attractions, TRIOTECH, is creating two world premiere attractions for South Korea’s Jeju Shinhwa World theme park.

Jeju Shinhwa World is one of the South Korea’s largest integrated resorts covering 2.5 million square metres.

Currently under construction, the theme park is among a number of entertainment offerings at the resort. It is set to include 7 themed zones and occupy around 280,000 square metres.

The two TRIOTECH projects will be anchor attractions in Larva’s Adventure Village, a signature land based on TUBAn Entertainment’s popular Larva IP.

One is an Interactive Dark Ride and the other is being described as a unique, interactive Walkthrough.

TRIOTECH is quickly establishing itself has a turnkey attraction designer that can work with iconic intellectual property,” commented Ernest Yale, President and CEO of TRIOTECH.

“We are thrilled for this opportunity to develop and deploy two attractions in this very special place.”

Larva is a computer-animated comedy television series made by TUBAn Entertainment in Seoul, South Korea. The stars of the series are the two quirky larvae characters, Red and Yellow. Launched in 2011, it proved an instant hit across a wide range of ages groups and has since been rolled out in over 40 countries.

According to Rodney Johns, Project Director at Jeju Shinhwa World, securing the Larva IP for the park has been key:

“Working with TUBAn has given us a unique IP that will differentiate us from other parks in Korea and across Asia,” he said.

The interactive dark ride is set to feature fully themed ride vehicles with Red and Yellow guiding guests to a whirlwind tour that will take them to surprising and iconic sites.

The second attraction is a walkthrough experience where visitors will be guided on a time- travelling journey featuring key moments in the history of both mankind and South Korea itself.
