New nametags to be distributed ahead of Epic Universe launch

Universal Orlando is getting ready for the launch of Epic Universe in 2025 with the introduction of updated nametags for team members featuring the new park.

The opening of Epic Universe, the fourth theme park at Universal Orlando in Florida, will be the largest expansion of the resort in its history.

As we now know, Epic Universe will welcome guests from 22 May 2025. Debuting with the park next year are new nametags for Universal Orlando’s team members, which will be distributed in early 2025.

These nametags feature the Universal Orlando logo surrounded by the icons of each theme park: a volcano for Volcano Bay, arches for Universal Studios Florida, a lighthouse for Islands of Adventure, and the new Chronos tower for Epic Universe (pictured above).

The Chronos tower will serve as the front gate at Epic Universe, taking visitors into Celestial Park, an astronomical-themed land filled with gardens, waterways and pathways, as well as the Starfall Racers dual-launch racing coaster.

Situated on 750 acres, Epic Universe includes a theme park and three hotels. It’s billed as the most ambitious park ever created by Universal Destinations and Experiences.

Epic Universe will house five themed lands with more than 50 attractions, entertainment experiences, and retail and F&B outlets.

The new lands are: Super Nintendo World, Dark Universe, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of MagicHow to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, and Celestial Park.

“We’re so excited,” Eric Marshall, senior vice president of North American destination sales at Universal Destinations and Experiences, told blooloop.

He added: “Epic Universe is the big payoff, but it’s also part of a journey we’ve been on for over a decade. In 2014, we had just three hotels. By next year, we’ll have 11. That kind of growth is just incredible.”
