Universal Studios Japan’s new ‘No Limit!’ parade is launching in March 2023 with characters from Super Mario Bros., Pokémon, Minions and Hello Kitty.

The cavalcade is Universal Studios Japan‘s first partnership with the Pokémon Company. It will also include characters from Illumination’s Minions and Sing, and from PeanutsSesame Street and Hello Kitty.

Visitors will enjoy incredible floats, street performers, music and colourful costumes. Music featured will range from 1960s rock to modern electronic dance.

USJ’s first collaboration with Pokémon

“The incredible team at USJ have the creative vision and leading expertise in world-class theme park technology to imagine a uniquely Pokémon experience,” said Tsunekazu Ishihara, president and CEO of the Pokémon Company.

“For 25 years, Pokémon has curated a legacy of trendsetting innovation while becoming one of the most beloved entertainment brands in the world through video games, animation, and more.”

“Pokémon is beloved by fans around the world,” said J.L. Bonnier, president and CEO of USJ.

Universal Studios Japan has also opened a new Jujutsu Kaisen-themed 4D attraction as part of its collaboration with the Japanese manga series.

Meanwhile, the park is expanding its Super Nintendo World land to include the world’s first Donkey Kong-themed area, scheduled to open in 2024.

Characters from Super Mario Bros. will make their first appearance at Universal Studios Japan during the No Limit! parade since the Nintendo-themed zone opened last year.

The first Super Nintendo World in the US is officially opening at Universal Studios Hollywood in California on 17 February 2023.
