Toverland in Sevenum, the Netherlands is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year with a unique 25-hour event.

The 25-hour event takes place from 9am on Saturday 27 June until 10am on Sunday 28 June and will offer a variety of experiences, including a huge parade, a spectacular fireworks display, and laser tag with Halloween characters.

To enable the event, named ToverFestival, the theme park will be open for all 25 hours, with creative activities provided every five hours.

Each time slot will have a different theme, ranging from Toverland's history to lively parties.

Visitors who attend all time slots and are present at Toverland for the full 25 hours will receive a unique pin.

Following the ToverFestival on 28 June, the park will remain open until 6pm, meaning visitors can actually stay at Toverland for as long as 33 hours.

As part of the 25th anniversary celebrations, from 18 April, Toverland will provide the new Magic Memories show created by illusionist Hans Klok.

The show will run at weekends through Sunday 28 June. It includes tricks, illusions and surprises, and will be performed multiple times a day.

For the rest of Toverland's anniversary year, the park will feature birthday decorations, and a special song at various locations throughout the site.

Toverland opened to the public on 19 May 2001 and has grown into one of the Benelux region's largest theme parks, home to more than 40 rides and shows across six themed areas.

Last month, the park announced a €98m expansion plan to grow into a resort destination.
