IAAPA’s Euro Attractions Show (EAS) 2012 Opens Fifth Hall to Accommodate Record Exhibit Sales

The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions’ Euro Attractions Show (EAS) 2012, the biggest event  for the theme park, themed entertainment, waterpark and visitor attractions industry in Europe, is taking place 9th to 11th October at the Messe Berlin Exhibition Centre. IAAPA Europe has reacted to unprecedented demand for space by allocating a 5th hall at the exhibition centre.

Building on the enormous success of last year’s Euro Attractions Show (EAS) which took place in London and was IAAPA’s most successful European show to date (see: IAAPA’s Record Breaking Euro Attractions Show), a record number of exhibitors are again expected to feature on the show floor at the German capital city’s prestigious Messe Berlin roland mack iaapa chairman europa park theme park ridesexhibition centre. Over  320 vendors and suppliers of products and services to the theme park and attractions industry have already confirmed, with a 10% increase on floor space on last year.

Exhibitors from over 100 countries will reveal the latest innovations and developments in over 100 categories , with areas covered including major roller coasters, RFID, access and ticketing systems, design and architecture, control systems, waterpark rides  and 3D/ 4D cinema.
Alongside the exhibition floor IAAPA will also run the following:

The  Opening Reception will take place on Tuesday 9th October at the Palais am Funkturm adjacent to the trade show halls. Over 1, 000 guests are expected to attend to enjoy the entertainment, food , drink and networking opportunities.
Leadership Breakfast

The CEOs of two of the major European  theme parks, Roland Mack (above left) and Fernando Aldecoa  will speak about the development and plans for their respective parks, Europa-Park and PortAventura.  Mr. Mack, who is also Managing Partner Mack Rides and chairman of the board of IAAPA will deliver a keynote address.

EAS Post Tour

After the Euro Attractions Show (EAS), attendees will have the opportunity to join a tour to experience some of Germany’s leading theme parks and attractions – Merlin Entertainments‘ Heide-Park,   Hotel Port Royal, Hansa-Park on the shores of the Baltic sea and Hamburg’s Hagenbecks Tierpark, the  first zoo to utilise moats to surround open animal enclosures.
