The SkyCycLouisville Zoo Opens Bear Habitat and Town of Glacier Runle™ is a bike on a cable that takes riders high over the treetops and gives its riders an intimate glimpse of the natural terrain. Riders of the SkyCycle soar slowly over and through the treelines giving riders the chance to “hike” in the air through the upper forest and have views of wildlife and nature not normally seen by people.
Eco-Adventure Technologies, creator of the SkyCycle™, a patent-pending cable bicycle suspended at treetop level, announces that Florida EcoSafaris at Forever Florida will be opening the new Cypress SkyCycle™ attraction this summer. Forever Florida is a 4, 700 acre wildlife conservation area near Orlando, Florida and home to the region’s premier eco-tourism attraction, Florida EcoSafaris.

Florida EcoSafaris’ Mr. Steven Wagner, agrees that the SkyCycle™ is a great match for them and is looking forward to launching the ride. “Biking high up through the trees is something that our guests will enjoy. They will have a unique look at the wildlife and greenery that before just wasn’t possible, ” says Wagner.
Mr. Wagner also feels that the SkyCycle™ will heighten the park’s conservation efforts. “We believe that our guests will find the Cypress SkyCycle™ to be entertaining and educational and encourage greater awareness toward our conservation efforts, ” says Wagner.
The Cypress SkyCycle™ offered by Florida EcoSafaris at Forever Florida will be one-mile and will travel through pine flatwoods, wetlands and sloughs giving guests a rare glimpse at this secluded nature reserve and its inhabitants. Guests will soar in their SkyCycle™ bikes up to 22 feet above the ground and even pass over an alligator pond with a 13 foot male bull alligator in it. The ride is expected to be open by July 2011.
