Guests and staff in Nevada and Texas will benefit from improved online functionality

accesso Technology Group PLC, a leading technology provider, has signed a three-year deal with Pyek Group as its new provider of eCommerce, on-site ticketing and mobile food & beverage technologies.

The Houston, US-based company has four waterparks in North America; including two in Texas; Typhoon Texas Austin in Pflugerville; Typhoon Texas Houston in Katy.

Both of the WWA-award-winning sites are filled with family-friendly attractions including The Shootout, an open-air seven-story slide, with traditional water park installations such as a 480,000-gallon Lazy-T River and The Gully Washer play structure standing over four stories tall.

Typhoon Texas also caters for those wanting to relax through expansive tide pools, cabana rentals and a range of dining options. The venues provide guests with a number of entry options including general admission, season pass and group reservation ticket offerings.

Swimming in the “Entertainment Capital”

There are also two sites in Nevada, including the former Wet ‘n’ Wild Las Vegas property, Cowabunga Canyon in Spring Valley, and Cowabunga Bay Las Vegas in Henderson. Following a merger in November 2021, Pyek Group now owns and manages both sites.

The newly rebranded Cowabunga Canyon site features over 25 slides and attractions across a vast 20-acre property such as The Tornado, a slide that includes a zero-gravity moment, as well as a unique beer garden for swimmers. Cowabunga Bay Las Vegas has a unique lineup of water slides and attractions, as well as up to ten food and beverage locations to create a rounded guest experience.

Enhancing the experience

The new partnership will deliver an enhanced e-commerce experience for guests at the North American waterparks, which will utilise the accesso Passport eCommerce ticketing suite. Pre-trip planning will become a seamless experience for guests, with the software accessible on desktop, tablet or mobile devices. Pyek Group will be enabled to deliver personalised upsell, cross-sell and quick-sell opportunities on its updated virtual storefront, including drinks packages, parking tickets, rentals and more.

Onsite transactions will use accesso’s Siriusware POS ticketing solution, giving Pyek Group a comprehensive view of visitors’ purchasing behaviour in one place.

Pyek Group president Evan Barnett says “Pyek Group is pleased to welcome Accesso as our dedicated technology partner to support the operations of our state-of-the-art waterparks. In today’s digital environment, it’s crucial to give guests robust, yet easy-to-use, control over their own experiences, and we’re looking forward to making that concept a reality for our valued guests.”
