Aquatic Development Group (ADG), a leading water park and recreational design, construction and manufacturing firm, received a Leading Edge Award at this week’s World Waterpark Association Annual Symposium & Trade Show, in recognition of its work on the Roaring Springs Waterpark in Meridian, Idaho.

Roaring Springs

ADG worked as the designer/builder for the outdoor waterpark expansion project, which opened to the public this summer. The expansion includes a multi-level play structure, an action river and an activity pool, alongside the Geyser Grill & Bar, and other amenities. It is the first phase of a 7-part phased expansion plan to be completed over the next 10-15 years. With its planned 40% expansion, Roaring Springs, which is currently the largest waterpark in the Northwest, will become one of the biggest in the country.

Idaho’s first action river

The Class 5 Canyon at Roaring Spring, Idaho’s first action river featuring features like action waves where visitors may ride kickboards, was developed, constructed, and supplied by ADG. ADG’s Breakers river wave creation system and boosters are used in this 14,250-square-foot adventure river to create an exciting, fast-moving, and enjoyable experience.

“There’s nothing lazy about this river,” says Tiffany Quilici, Roaring Springs Waterpark marketing director. “It’s a wave action adventure.”

The newest expansion area at Roaring Spring offers an abundance of thrilling rides, games, and facilities for visitors of all ages. This includes Camp IdaH2O, an 8,000 square-foot interactive multi-level play structure with 100 play features, seven intermediate slides, a potato head-themed dump bucket, and theming with iconic Idaho animals and birds. The 3,200-foot Critter Crossing activity pool, which has water basketball and floating attractions with a forest theme, is another thrilling addition.

Roaring Springs has added 16 luxurious cabanas with plush sectionals and wait service from the recently opened Geyser Grill & Bar, as well as elegant pool deck furnishings, bathrooms and more parking, in addition to the new rides.

“I think this is our most exciting season that we’ve ever opened with the anticipation of our new expansion,” adds Quilici.

In the summer, ADG celebrated the opening of Aquasis at Duck Creek RV Resort in Michigan, US.
