montana waterpark lets dogs in pool helena

The Last Chance Splash Waterpark and Pool in Helena, Montana hosted an unusual end of season party.  Visitors were invited to bring along their dogs to the pool for one day only.

The “Paws in the Pool” event is annually held on the last day of the summer season before the waterpark is drained and cleaned over winter.  Admission for the event was a donation to the Paws for Dogs dog park at Centennial Park.

A variety of dog breeds enjoyed the event – from labs to bulldogs – reports KRTV.

Last Chance Splash lifeguard Reese Blossom said that, although the end of summer is disappointing, he loves the last day because it allows dogs to enjoy the pool too.

“I think its really important to get a dog active. It makes them happy, it makes you happier and a day like this really puts it all together so we can come and enjoy and have our pets enjoy too.”
