Norwegian Cruise Line has shared the first images of its Great Tides Waterpark on the Great Stirrup Cay private island in the Bahamas.
Due to open on 4 September, the water park is a nearly six-acre destination featuring 19 thrilling waterslides, the industry's first immersive tunnel at the Wandering River, and the Caribbean's only four-person body slide.
Highlights also include a family-friendly splash zone called Splash Cay, and the industry's first cliff jumps at Cliffside Cove.

Additionally, the water park provides the 170-foot Tidal Tower, which includes the industry-first Breakwater Blasters water coasters with both downhill drops and uphill blasts inside an inner tube.
"With just one month until the grand opening of Great Tides Waterpark, we're excited to give guests a first look at what will become one of the Caribbean's most dynamic destination experiences that can only be enjoyed when sailing with us," said Marc Kazlauskas, president of Norwegian Cruise Line.
"From adrenaline-pumping attractions and family-friendly activities to unique dining experiences and places to relax, Great Tides Waterpark will showcase the innovative design, scale and adventure that await guests visiting the island."
Martin Aquatic, a world-class aquatic firm, partnered with NCL to master plan the guest experience for Great Tides Waterpark.

WhiteWater, a leading waterpark manufacturer, has supplied all the slides and play structures.
The new water park is part of Norwegian Cruise Line's ongoing enhancements across Great Stirrup Cay. CONDUCTR, the UK-based innovation studio, is the creative consultant behind the redevelopment of the island.
Earlier this year, Norwegian Cruise Line unveiled its largest ship to date – the Norwegian Aura, launching in 2027.
Norwegian Aura will be 10 percent larger than its sister ships Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna. The former launched last year, and the latter started sailing in March.
