Royal Caribbean International has opened a $250 million private island with its own water park in The Bahamas.
Perfect Day at CocoCay is the first in the cruise line’s new Perfect Day Island Collection of next-level private destinations around the world.
The project ‘redefines thrill and chill’ with the tallest waterslide in North America, the Caribbean’s largest wave pool, and the highest vantage point in The Bahamas.

Perfect Day at CocoCay is exclusive to guests of Royal Caribbean, who can visit the private island by sailing on 11 of the global cruise lineās ships.
Thrill Waterpark
At the heart of Perfect Day at CocoCay is Thrill Waterpark, with 13 waterslides, the Caribbeanās largest wave pool and the Adventure Pool with a family-friendly obstacle course. Key features include:
- Daredevilās Tower: Seven exhilarating single-rider waterslides of various heights, including the 135-foot-tall Daredevilās Peak ā the tallest waterslide in North America. Additional highlights include Dueling Demon (drop slides), Manta Raycers (twin open flume slides), Green Mamba (aqua tube slide), and the high-speed Screeching Serpent.
- Splash Summit: Six multi-rider slides, including The Slingshot (zero-gravity slide for four), The Twister (winding tube slide for two on a tandem raft), and the four-lane Splash Speedway racing slides.
- Wave Pool: The largest wave pool in the Caribbean, where a timer on the back wall counts down to the start of big waves.
- Adventure Pool: An interactive obstacle course on water, with floating lily pads, a rock-climbing wall and two swing ropes for guests to bounce, climb and swing.
More features at CocoCay
- Up, Up and Away: Guests can float up to 450 feet above Perfect Day at CocoCay in a colourful helium balloon (securely tethered to the ground by cable), allowing guests to take in the island from the highest vantage point in The Bahamas.
- Oasis Lagoon: The largest freshwater pool in the Caribbean features three distinct coves, each with a vibe of their own, and with underwater sound systems.
- F&B at Captain Jackās and Skipperās Grill.
- Captain Jillās Galleon: This interactive play area for children has three dry slides and 16 water cannons, as well as rope features and a splash pad.
- Splashaway Bay: Another kids’ area, featuring fountains, sprinklers, geysers, drench buckets and five waterslides, including three racers.
- Zip Line: Guests can soar on the 1,600-foot-long zip-line course that crisscrosses the island.
- Chill Island: An island escape with Chill Grill, the largest dining venue on the island, as well as snorkelling, jet-skiing, beach bars, cabanas and daybeds.
- South Beach: An action-packed area with volleyball, beachside basketball, soccer and paddle boarding.
Set to open in December is Coco Beach Club, where visitors will enjoy the first overwater cabanas in The Bahamas, each with its own slide into the ocean, overwater hammock, shower and dedicated attendant.
