The world’s leading waterpark manufacturer, WhiteWater, has been named as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies. There were 47 new firms recognised for 2019 by Deloitte in Canada’s leading business awards programme – but WhiteWater was the only company in the attractions sector.
Canada’s Best Managed Companies recognises excellence in private Canadian-owned and managed organisations with revenues over $15 million.
From construction and logistics to retail and pharmaceutical, the companies may vary, but they all share several things in common: they keep reaching for more, manage finances effectively and adapt to changing market conditions.

The evolution of WhiteWater
WhiteWater’s roots date back to its days as a small waterpark in the city of Penticton, British Colombia, in the early 1980s. President and CEO Geoff Chutter has since grown the company into a global leader in the industry.
The WhiteWater of today offers a full-service solution for waterpark operators and developers. It not only designs parks and manufactures attractions but also offers a pioneering guest engagement platform for venues called Vantage. The company boasts a worldwide team of almost 600 employees. From offices in Vancouver, Denver, Barcelona, Dubai and Shanghai, WhiteWater has delivered over 5,000 international projects to date.
“We are incredibly humbled to be included in this list along with some of Canada’s best-known companies,” says Chutter. “We’ve worked relentlessly over the years to constantly better ourselves in every regard. Not only as an innovative player in the water park industry, but also as an employer. We would like to thank Deloitte for honouring us with this prestigious award.”
