The NEW Zoo, Green Bay (WI) has revealed a $30 million expansion masterplan for the next 10 to 20 years.
The long term strategic plan looks toestablish the NEW Zoo, which currently includes an adventure park and reforestation camp, as a regional destination for adventure and modernize the guest experience.Projects included in the masterplan include a$5 million entry plaza with an overhead tree-tops adventure course and a $4.5 million for an Asiatic Bear and Amur Tiger exhibit, as well as a splashpad and improvements to access and facilities.
The NEW Zoo will raise the cashfor this plan from fundraising inthe community. It is estimated that the development work outlined in the masterplan will result in attendance increasingfrom 225,000 to 300,000 visitors per year.
