Adventure course specialist, Ropes Courses Inc., has provided its Sky Trail® and Sky Tykes® products to Hattiesburg Zoo, Mississippi.
The new thrill attractions are designed to appeal to guests of all ages, with Sky Tykes® specifically aimed at younger children.
"Hattiesburg Zoo has several great attractions including a carousel, but they wanted to expand their offerings for the teenagers and young adults that visit their zoo, ” explained Marissa Ticknor, Sales Manager at Ropes Courses, Inc. “Sky Trail® was the perfect fit for their needs."
The Sky Trail® Explorer stands four storeys high and combines 27 elements that offer varying levels of difficulty. Both kids and adults over 4ft tall can experience this attraction on their own.
Children between 42 and 48 inches tall can participate with a paid chaperone that assists them through the obstacles. Sky Tykes® is for younger thrill-seekers and features platforms that stand just 3ft off the ground.
Developed in tandem with Hattiesburg Zoo’s Director of Business Operations, Salem Bunkheila, the multi-level attraction is the first ropes course in the Pine Belt region.
"The zoo took advantage of unused space in a unique, exciting and adventure based way, ” added Ticknor. “The 3 level Sky Trail® gives a great scenic view of the zoo and an aerial overlook of several nearby animal exhibits. It’s a whole new experience that will attract both new and existing zoo members.
