Designs have been unveiled for the $2.5 million renovation of the Roundhouse Aquarium at the end of the city pier atManhattan Beach, CA.
The project has been supported by a$1.2 million donation from a foundation started by Sketchers President Michael Greenberg, but more fundraising is needed to make the target for the project.TheCity Council have approved the designs by architectsCambridge Seven Associatesand complement the features of the distinctive 1922 octagonal building.
Key features of the designs include amultimedia area, a touch tank, a shark tank, a teaching area ajellyfish tank built into the mezzanine.
