SimEx-Iwerks, a pioneer in developing immersive cinematic experiences, and the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) have announced the continuation of their longstanding partnership with New York's Central Park Zoo.
SimEx-Iwerks is collaborating closely with WCS to design a next-generation cinematic attraction for zoo visitors. The Central Park Zoo has successfully operated its 4D theatre for 15 years.
"This new project builds on the excitement and storytelling guests already love, evolving Central Park Zoo's highly successful 4D experience into an even more expansive, cinematic adventure," says Sean McAllister, senior vice president of attractions development at SimEx-Iwerks.

Building on a longstanding relationship
This latest project is part of a 10-year agreement between SimEx-Iwerks and WCS, strengthening a partnership that has lasted over two decades and includes multiple WCS locations such as Central Park Zoo, the Bronx Zoo, and the New York Aquarium.

"It is important to us that the experiences we offer complement the overall zoo visit and our exhibits, while enhancing how we share stories with our guests," says Niko Radjenovic, vice president of business services at WCS.
“SimEx-Iwerks has partnered with WCS on attractions that appeal to our guests and align well with our overall guest experience.”
Earlier this week, SimEx-Iwerks also announced that Elephants 4D: Giants of the Desert is now available for 4D theatres. Set in the Namib Desert, it follows a curious elephant calf and her herd as they search for water following a drought.
The company also partnered with the Ultra-Accessible theme park Morgan's Wonderland last year to develop the Ultra-Accessible 4D Magic Cinema, which features a first-of-its-kind wheelchair-motion platform.
