SimEx-Iwerks, a pioneer in developing immersive cinematic experiences, has announced that Elephants 4D: Giants of the Desert, a story of a resilient herd, is now available for 4D theatres.
Set in the Namib Desert, this captivating journey follows a young, curious elephant calf and her herd as they search for water after a severe drought. With beautiful landscapes, engaging storytelling, and remarkable animal behaviour, this 4D Experience celebrates themes of family, friendship, survival, and wildlife.
Elephants 4D is crafted to deeply engage viewers by blending important conservation messages with widespread family appeal. The film showcases the adorable behaviours of baby elephants, fostering an instant emotional bond with audiences of all ages.

A rare perspective
Elephant 4D’s eye-catching key art and distinctive animal characters offer powerful marketing opportunities for theatres aiming to update their promotional campaigns, encourage repeat visits, and attract guests both online and in person. Its inspiring story and educational aspects also support mission-driven objectives.
Elephants 4D: Giants of the Desert offers emotional moments, immersive 4D effects, and striking wildlife encounters that will stay with audiences well beyond the show.

"Elephants 4D showcases the breathtaking beauty of the world's oldest desert through impeccable cinematography," says Mark Merrall, director of creative services.
"By earning the trust of a wild elephant herd, the producers captured remarkable close-ups that offer a rare perspective on these incredible animals. Combined with sweeping sceneries and carefully matched in-theater effects, the result is a truly immersive experience for guests."
Last year, SimEx-Iwerks expanded its family entertainment portfolio with the launch of a new nature-based product line that aims to bring families closer to nature through elevated outdoor experiences.
It also partnered with the Ultra-Accessible theme park Morgan’s Wonderland to develop the Ultra-Accessible 4D Magic Cinema, which features a first-of-its-kind wheelchair-motion platform.
