Saudi Arabia's new Aquarabia water park in Qiddiya City is opening to the public on 23 April.

The largest water theme park in the Middle East offers 22 unique rides and experiences by WhiteWater, a leading waterpark manufacturer, including four record-breaking attractions.

Highlights also include the world’s first underwater theme park ride, Aquaticar: Legend of the Glowing Guardian. This is by Sub Sea Systems, Inc. (SSS), a company specialising in immersive, memorable and hands-on aquatic encounters that educate through entertainment.

Geoff Chutter, CEO of WhiteWater, said last month: "Aquarabia Qiddiya City is the kind of project that shows why breadth of experience matters.

"This park brings together record-breaking slides, water rides, surf experiences, custom ride vehicles, and complex engineering across a single destination."

The park spans more than 250,000 square metres and houses eight themed zones, each inspired by the native wildlife and landscapes of Saudi Arabia.

As for retail and F&B, Aquarabia features 24 food and beverage outlets, and seven retail stores.

Falcon’s Creative Group, part of Falcon’s Beyond Global, has been involved in the design and master planning of Aquarabia.

Adult ticket prices to Aquarabia start at SAR 325 ($86), while admission for children aged 4 to 11 starts at SAR 200 ($53).

Tickets allow entry to the water park and all rides and attractions, bar the surfing experience, which requires a separate ticket. Also, 91 luxury cabanas are available as an in-park upgrade.

At Aquarabia, Fridays are dedicated to women only, the first event taking place on 24 April.

When it opens later this month, Aquarabia will join the first Six Flags theme park outside of North America, which welcomed visitors on 31 December.

The new park is home to 28 rides and attractions, including the world's longest, fastest and tallest roller coaster.
