CEC Entertainment has signed development agreements with franchisees for 25 new Chuck E. Cheese’s restaurants in Mexico, Egypt, Kuwait, El Salvador and Bahrain.

Thomas Leverton, CEO of CEC Entertainment Inc, said: “It’s an exciting time to join CEC internationally as the business is growing rapidly and driving great expansion results in new international markets. I am pleased to welcome these franchise partners to the CEC family. With our momentum and more opportunities on the horizon, I look forward to working together to bring Chuck E. Cheese’s to new areas of the world.”

Chuck E. Cheese’s first launched in 1977.  It now has 607 outlets spanning 47 states and 13 foreign countries.

The restaurants include a mix of dance floors, animatronic shows and a gaming system.

In 2017, the company announced a major rebrand.
