Guests will explore an immersive and realistic crime scene during Hunt A Killer: Investigate Live.

Hunt A Killer, an immersive entertainment company that creates mystery, sci-fi and horror-themed games, has announced a location-based experience in San Francisco.

Visitors will investigate an immersive and realistic crime scene during Hunt A Killer: Investigate Live, which begins in spring 2023 at San Francisco’s Stonestown Galleria.

Known for its games and puzzles, Hunt A Killer is launching in the location-based entertainment (LBE) space with the new murder mystery experience, set within a 20,000-square-foot venue.

“We’re excited to share this unique live experience in San Francisco with mystery fans, providing our detectives with new and intriguing cases to solve in person,” said Keith Tralins, chief product officer at Hunt A Killer.

“We always strive to provide thrilling immersive experiences for our customers and this event will take things to a whole new level.”

‘Gritty Diner’ and ‘Dark Vegas’

The company has created two cases for Hunt A Killer: Investigate Live, with players becoming private detectives as they explore “meticulously crafted crime scenes, realistic locations, and suspect testimonies”, according to a release.

During the ‘Dark Vegas’ experience, guests will be tasked with solving the murder of a showgirl who is found dead in her dingy apartment. In ‘Gritty Diner’, visitors will solve the case of a beloved diner owner who is discovered deceased in his greasy spoon.

Guests will start their journey in a police station where they are asked to provide detective work for the lead investigator. After that, they will visit crime scenes and investigate at their own pace.

They will conduct their investigation and find out if they have solved the case or let a guilty suspect get away with murder.

Hunt A Killer: Investigate Live will feature a retail outlet where visitors can buy exclusive Hunt A Killer products.

These include the company’s YA novel, Perfect Score, a new mystery jigsaw puzzle called ‘Whodonut?’, and a new premium box experience releasing in June called ‘Dead on the Vine’.
