Disney has named and unveiled its next cruise ship, the fourth in its Wish class.

Due to launch in 2027, the new ship is called the Disney Believe and will join the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny in the Wish class.

Each cruise ship in the Wish class features its own design theme, with the Disney Believe set to be dedicated to "promise and possibilities", Disney said in a blog post.

The Disney Wish is enchantment-themed, while the Disney Treasure is inspired by adventure, and the Disney Destiny is themed to heroes and villains.

The Disney Believe will immerse guests in tales of characters who believe in themselves, featuring Disney stories including Frozen, Encanto, Snow White, Moana and The Little Mermaid.

"Onboard the Disney Believe, powerful tales of characters who believe in themselves and their dreams will come to life in exciting new ways," Disney said.

Disney Cruise Line expansion plan

New details about the Disney Believe were announced at Disney's annual shareholders meeting by new CEO Josh D'Amaro on his first day leading the company.

Disney Cruise Line is in the middle of a major expansion to grow its fleet to 13 ships by 2031.

This includes the Disney Adventure, which sailed its maiden voyage from Singapore on 10 March, as well as the Disney Believe, the introduction of a new class of ships in 2029, and a new ship to sail from Japan in 2029.

As above, the Disney Adventure set sail earlier this month. It is the largest-ever ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet and the first to homeport in Asia.

In a statement, Disney Signature Experiences' president Joe Schott said: "We think about this ship as a brand ambassador as Disney Cruise Line continues to visit more people in more places around the world."
