Las Vegas’ immersive entertainment district Area15 is no longer heading to Orlando, as the land purchased in 2022 has been listed for sale.
Area15 announced plans for an Orlando location in 2022. The new destination was to be located in the heart of the city’s tourist corridor, off Interstate 4.
Its attractions and experiences would have been contained in a 300,000-square-foot structure on 16.5 acres, which was expected to open this year.
Now, however, Area15 has listed the land, currently unpriced, and removed a 16-foot-tall robot statue called Mechan 11 from the site.

The land was purchased by Area15 Orlando LLC in 2022 for $24.8 million. It is now valued at $23m, the Orlando Business Journal reports.
Area15 CEO Winston Fisher told the OBJ that the company may consider opening Orlando in the future.
Robbie McEwan from CBRE, a commercial real estate services and investment firm, is handling the marketing of the property. He told the OBJ that Area15 made “an internal business decision” to walk away from the Orlando project.
“We’ve seen increased demand for projects in the tourist corridor based on Universal’s Epic Universe opening next year and Disney’s planned expansion,” McEwan said. “We’re expecting a lot of interest in the site.”
Area15 expanding in Las Vegas
Area15, a joint venture between Fisher Brothers and creative agency Beneville Studios, opened in 2020 and has become a major attraction for immersive and experiential entertainment.
The Orlando destination may be cancelled, but the City of Las Vegas is moving forward with plans to expand Area15 on 35.5 acres north of the district.
For the expansion, Fisher Brothers is planning a 200-room hotel, 518,000 square feet of retail space, and 320,000 square feet of office space.
The anchor tenant will be a year-round attraction from Universal Destinations & Experiences called Horror Unleashed.
