There will be pirates, mermaids, acrobatics and music

Dolly Parton is expanding her pirate-themed immersive experiences with a new Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show in Panama City Beach, Florida.

There are already two Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show venues – one in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and another in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

In the new Florida location, guests will enjoy pirates, mermaids, acrobatics, pyrotechnics, and songs written by Parton.

“How exciting that we’re breaking ground for my Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show in Panama City Beach,” Parton said on the show’s website.

“When we open this spring, there will be pirates, mermaids, exciting acrobatics, pyrotechnics, and even a few songs that I wrote – it’s a show everyone in the family is going to love.

“Everyone knows I dream big, so we are definitely going ‘overboard’ with the details as we get started!”

Bookings for the new attraction are available from 1 June.

Immersive F&B experience

Via Southern Living, the show will take place in a 60,000-square-foot space, with guests watching as pirates battle on deck, in the water, and in the sky above full-sized pirate ships.

Also, the indoor water stage holds 600,000 gallons, and includes a 15-foot-deep lagoon.

As part of the show, guests get a four-course feast of dishes like Buccaneer Biscuit, Me Hearties Pulled Pork, and Matey’s Mashed Potatoes.

Additional attractions in Panama City Beach include animal encounters, makeovers, a pre-show experience in Pirates Village, and entertainment and themed F&B at Blackbeard’s Quarters.

Parton’s dinner shows have operated since 1988. As well as the pirate-themed production, shows include Dolly Parton’s Stampede Dinner Attraction and Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud.

The singer also owns Dollywood in partnership with Herschend Family Entertainment. Opened in 1986, the 160-acre theme park is located in Pigeon Forge.

It houses award-winning shows, as well as 40 world-class rides and attractions.

In 2023, the new HeartSong Lodge & Resort debuted at Dollywood. This came after the launch of the Big Bear Mountain roller coaster.
