Kevin Mills has led the South Carolina Aquarium for 20 years, overseeing its development into the most visited destination in the Charleston, SC, region, a national model for coastal resilience, and a global leader in sea turtle care and rehabilitation.

He serves on the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA) Council, and is a past board member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). Before joining the Aquarium, he was Vice President, Marketing and External Affairs, for the Saint Louis Zoo. He began his career with the Museum of Modern Art, New York, and holds a journalism degree from the University of Kansas.
