Red Raion, the CGI studio for media-based attractions, has announced that Dragon's Gold - The Chase, its newest CGI film for licensing, is now available in 5D, VR, dome, and flying theatre formats.
Dragon’s Gold - The Chase is designed for family audiences and high-throughput venues. It features fast pace, comedy, synchronized effects, and flexible formats, allowing operators to offer a new, repeatable experience within their existing attraction lineup.
Inspired by classic fantasy board games and adventure films, it immerses viewers in a world filled with dragons, ancient ruins, and treasure chambers. This creates a lively adventure comedy set in a fantasy world, combining aerial scenes, slapstick humour, and immersive environmental storytelling.
Environmental effects and ride synchronisation are integrated into each scene, heightening the sensation of the chase across all formats.
A cinematic & immersive experience
The story centres on Yorik, a brave yet awkward treasure hunter who discovers a golden crown in an abandoned castle. As he places the crown on his head, he inadvertently awakens a massive dragon fiercely guarding its treasure.
What ensues is a pursuit through stormy forests, icy mountain summits, and a volcanic cave. To make things more challenging, Yorik's winged backpack constantly malfunctions at the most inconvenient moments, turning his escape into a mix of daring heroism and humorous chaos.
“We designed Dragon's Gold - The Chase with one clear goal: to make visitors leave wanting to do it again,” says Valeria Rizzo, chief brand officer at Red Raion.
“Every scene had to work as both a cinematic moment and a physical sensation, creating that balance between spectacle and comedy that defines our approach.
"Because the movie is available across multiple formats, operators can bring the same high-impact adventure to different attraction setups while keeping the experience consistent, physical, and easy to integrate.”
Last year, Red Raion released another original production, Beauty and the Beast – Once Upon a Mess, which offers a reimagining of one of the world's best-loved stories.
