Katapult, the international guest experience design agency, is partnering with DOF Robotics, an award-winning producer of immersive simulation attractions, robotic systems, games, and CGI content, to create NEO Cappadocia, an upcoming leisure destination in Cappadocia, Turkey.
Unveiled at the inaugural TEA Explores Istanbul event, Neo Cappadocia combines advanced attraction technology with authentic narrative world-building in a next-generation destination designed for both regional and international visitors.
Working in close collaboration, Katapult and DOF Robotics have translated high-tech motion and sensory hardware into a coherent, story-led visitor journey.

The partnership underscores Katapult’s expertise in strategic design that connects high-impact ride systems with broader resort masterplanning and multi-day visitor environments, including distinctive hotel suites and hospitality spaces.
Mustafa Mertcan, chairman of the board at DOF Robotics, says: "The process of working with Katapult has been fantastic. Their team has done a tremendous job bringing the vision of Neo Cappadocia to life, and we truly appreciate the close synergy and creative support they bring to the table."

"Great destinations don’t stop at the exit of a ride," says Phil Higgins, co-founder and chief creative officer at Katapult, "they seamlessly weave themed attractions, authentic storytelling, and hospitality into unforgettable guest journeys.
"Working alongside DOF Robotics on Neo Cappadocia allows us to do what we do best: design world-class physical environments that elevate cutting-edge attractions and create destinations where guests want to stay, explore, and return."
Forward-thinking regional anchor destination
NEO Cappadocia will tell local stories through three unique experiences.
In the NEO Flight simulator, guests will imagine being a bird as they swoop over Cappadocia's fairy chimney rock formations and enjoy the scent and warmth of the sunset.

They will also be able to visit the explorer’s workshop before taking an all-weather balloon ride. As they gently rise, valleys, dovecotes and rock-carved churches will be revealed below.
This is followed by a visit to the Theatre, where thousand-year-old legends are brought to life on a giant scale.
In addition to the immersive entertainment, visitors to NEO Cappadocia enjoy luxury dining on the roof terrace with panoramic views over the valley, and stay overnight in rooms inspired by the rock textures, terracotta tones and handcrafted details of the Cappadocian landscape.

By combining cultural heritage with high-thrill technology, Neo Cappadocia sets a new benchmark for regional anchor destinations.
Further development milestones and behind-the-scenes design insights will be shared throughout 2026 and 2027 as construction continues.
