Set & Scene, a show that brings designers, makers, and suppliers from screen, stage, and experience together under one roof, returns on Saturday 24 April 2027 at Central Saint Martins' Granary Building in King's Cross.
The inaugural event in April 2026 sold out, welcoming nearly 800 production designers, art directors, set decorators, scenic artists, prop makers, and suppliers. Another 200 people were on the waiting list. 92% of guests said they would recommend the event, and all exhibitors said it met or exceeded their expectations.
In 2027, the show expands from 35 to 57 stands across The Crossing and The Street. Costume and character creation, a popular attraction throughout the day in 2026, will have its own dedicated space.
The programme also introduces a new strand on leadership and wellbeing, aimed at people who lead teams or are seeking a healthier approach to working in a demanding industry.
Show expands for second year
Talks, panels and live demonstrations will take place throughout the day, shaped by the themes guests wanted to explore further: Celebrating Craft, Sustainable Design, Emerging Technology and Creative Fusion.
Heritage scenic craft will sit alongside virtual production and innovative materials, bringing together people from screen, theatre, live events and brand experience.

Yosien Burke, co-founder of Set & Scene, says: "We started Set & Scene because the people who build worlds for film, TV and theatre rarely get to be in the same room. Selling out in our first year, with a waiting list on top, told us how much the industry wanted that.
"For 2027 we're giving them more space, more of the craft they came to see, and more time to talk."
Bimla Jackson, co-founder of Set & Scene, adds: "We spent the summer reading every piece of feedback from guests, exhibitors and speakers. People asked for more room to move, more costume and more honest conversation about how the industry works, and that's what 2027 is built on."
Early bird tickets go on sale in November in limited batches, with mailing list subscribers getting first access. Exhibition stands and 2027 sponsorship opportunities are available now.
