Toy and family entertainment company Mattel is collaborating with industry leaders to develop new Mattel Wonder Indoor Waterparks in five US cities.
Orlando, Florida is targeted as the first location for a Mattel-themed water park, which are described as immersive aquatic destinations for Mattel's iconic brands.
The water parks are being developed in partnership with water park management consultant American Resort Management, in collaboration with developer I-dentity Group, and world-class aquatic firm Martin Aquatic.
“Mattel Wonder Indoor Waterparks will encompass many iconic Mattel brands that span generations of play, offering innovative water-based attractions and amenities in a dynamic new format for Mattel," said Julie Freeland, VP of global location-based entertainment at Mattel.
"We are thrilled to collaborate with these exceptional industry leaders in waterpark development to create an experience where guests can connect with their favorite brands in an entirely new way.”
Barbie and Hot Wheels attractions
Mattel’s iconic brands, including Barbie and Hot Wheels, will feature across the water parks in multiple attractions, from lazy rivers to thrilling waterslides.

In addition to its water park concept, Mattel has teamed up with Epic Resort Destinations to develop Mattel Adventure Park locations in Glendale, Arizona and Kansas City.
