7thSense, the multi-award-winning media solutions specialist, has announced the integration of its Medialon show control technology at the eagerly-awaited F1 Exhibition in London. This immersive exhibition showcases Medialon’s cutting-edge capabilities in managing and enhancing the visitor experience.
Sysco Productions, a trusted leader in AV integration, has implemented a Medialon Showmaster LE as the main show controller for the exhibition. With its cutting-edge features and a legacy spanning over twenty years, the Medialon show control system guarantees smooth operation, reliability, and connectivity across the venue.
Powering immersive experiences
The Medialon show control solution includes a ‘Technician WebPanel’, allowing exhibition staff to power the entire exhibition on and off and manage individual sections easily. It is compatible with various technologies, such as:
- Q-Sys Core: Audio routing and control.
- Pharos Lighting Controller: Dynamic lighting control.
- Epson Projectors and iiyama Screens: High-resolution visuals and displays.
By utilising these integrations, the Medialon system offers technicians centralised control over video playback, ambient sound, and lighting levels within the exhibition, while also monitoring essential equipment throughout the day.
The Medialon show control system manages media loops throughout the day, guiding visitors through the exhibition’s storyline. This experience culminates in ‘The Pit Wall’, an impressive immersive video display. Utilising five Epson projectors and 16 iiyama screens, with content delivered from two Mac Pros, The Pit Wall fully immerses visitors in the excitement of Formula 1.
Bruce Stedman, principal engineer at Sysco Productions, says: “The flexibility of the Medialon Showmaster is essential for the F1 Exhibition as it effortlessly adapts to the unique challenges of each new city. Whether it’s adjusting to venue-specific setups or handling diverse technical requirements, Showmaster ensures a seamless, high-performance experience no matter the location or circumstance.”
The Medialon system synchronises lighting, sound, and video for The Pit Wall, creating an unforgettable sensory experience. A ‘Pit Wall Host WebPanel’ lets staff control the presentation, while a Medialon WebPanel on a BrightSign outside displays a countdown to the next show.
Ed Patchett, commercial director at 7thSense, says: “We are thrilled that Medialon is playing a pivotal role in the F1 Exhibition, delivering precision control and seamless synchronisation across this dynamic event. The versatility and reliability of Medialon show control has once again proven its ability in elevating visitor experiences to new heights.”
7thSense will be exhibiting at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2025, which takes place in Barcelona, Spain, from 4 – 7 February. The team will showcase the latest advancements in media playback, pixel control, and system integration from booth #5H150.
