Electrosonic have provided the audio-visual equipment for most of the ten exhibit galleries in the Discovery Center at the New Discovery Park of America.
Discovery Park of America in Union City, Tennessee, has more than 70, 000-square feet of exhibits devoted to nature, science, technology, history and art.
Fabricators Maltbie brought in Electrosonic as audio-visual experts. Electrosonic’s work on the project includes:
Regional History Gallery
Electrosonic installed 270º wraparound screens and five ceiling-mounted Christie DS+6K-M projectors to deliver the visuals sourced from a 7thSense server for the simulation theater in the Regional History gallery. Special effects audio and tremors simulate the earthquake for the standing audience.
Native Americans Gallery
Electrosonic provided four 46-inch LCD monitors for the Native Americans gallery’s holographic storyteller, bringing to life the figure with a Pepper’s Ghost effect.
Equipment Room
Electrosonic located the equipment room on the middle level of Discovery Center, which made cable pulls more efficient. Two additional equipment rooms are available above and below the main equipment room and conduits connect the rooms for easy expansion as needed.
In addition Electrosonic also provided Samsung 32- and 55-inch LCD displays for the galleries as well as Innovox Audio speakers. The facility is controlled by a Medialon system programmed by Electrosonic.
