Eureka! The award winning children’s museum in Halifax, West Yorkshire is celebrating record-breaking visitor numbers.

In the first quarter of 2014, more than 83, 000 people visited, almost double the numbers the corresponding period in 2013.

All About Me, the new £2.9 million flagship gallery has attracted more than 300, 000 visitors since opening in March 2013.  All About Me encourages children to make positive choices about their health and wellbeing and was named the UK’s Top Interactive Exhibition for Children by parenting network Mumsnet.

Eureka! Chief Executive,  Leigh-Anne Stradeski,  said, “2014 has been a bumper year so far with our new gallery All About Me proving to be a really popular draw for families wanting to play as they learn. Many attractions across the region are reporting an increase in visitors – which is an encouraging trend for our cultural institutions and we’re delighted to see so many families heading to Halifax for their days out. Long may it continue!”
