Expo 2020 Dubai is sending a message of resilience as the one-year countdown begins, and has confirmed that the country pavilions are set for completion in 2020.
Expo 2020 Dubai welcomes the world on October 1, 2021. Expo is ready to bring together the global community to build a strong, sustainable future for everyone.
The event runs from October 1, 2021 through March 31, 2022. Expo 2020 Dubai aims to inspire hope among more than 190 participating countries.
Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy, director general of Expo 2020 Dubai Bureau, said the “World Expo will be a true expression of the UAE’s values, reflecting its ambition to build a better future for us, the region and the world – a future of which coming generations will be proud”.
“Our World Expo has a mission to inspire hope, and in the coming weeks we will begin to share new details and ideas about space, health and wellness, travel and connectivity and other subjects that sit at the heart of this Expo,” added Al Hashimy.
Expo runs October 1, 2021 through March 31, 2022

Progress on the site has continued at pace, with more than 210 million work hours done so far. Work in 2020 has focused on landscaping and fit-out of Expo-owned buildings.
In addition, the construction of country pavilions is on track to conclude by the end of this year.
The UK is inviting music lovers globally to collaborate on a musical project by submitting sounds for the UK Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.
The Bureau of International des Expositions (BIE) recently confirmed that preparations are on track for the Dubai Expo 2020.
Expo 2020 Dubai will run for six months from October 1, 2021 through March 31, 2022.
