Fusion LX, an audiovisual and lighting integration specialist, has worked with the Science Museum in London on its new exhibition, Science Fiction: Voyage to the Edge of Imagination. The company worked on lighting specification, lighting procurement and installation, and lighting focusing for the project, as well as full electrical installation for the exhibition, providing power, data and DMX to all necessary locations.
The immersive exhibition is open until May 2023 and takes guests on a journey through the cosmos, where they can explore visions of the future through the science of today, guided by an AI of alien origin.
A sci-fi journey
During the experience, visitors can explore a spaceship, discover an unknown planet, and look at how scientists and science fiction creators have helped us to better understand our own world through the worlds created in their imagination.
Science Fiction: Voyage to the Edge of Imagination includes a range of authentic objects from acclaimed movies, TV shows and books, alongside paintings, artworks, and photography.
Talking about working with Fusion LX on this project, a spokesperson from the Science Museum says: “We haven’t worked with Fusion before, but we definitely will be again!”
Fusion LX adds: “This was an amazing opportunity for Fusion to show what they are capable of to such a great organisation, reinforced by first-class customer service.”
