National Geographic Cinema Ventures’ “Jerusalem” Exceeds $5m Box Office Revenue

National Geographic Cinema Ventures (NGCV), producers and distributers of award winning giant-screen, 3-D and specialty films, has announced that “Jerusalem” has exceeded $5 million in worldwide gross box office revenue.

NGCV’s “Jerusalem” film for 3-D and 2-D giant-screen, IMAX® and digital theaters is an original production from Cosmic Picture and Arcane Pictures and has so far been shown in more than 45 theaters worldwide.  

The 43 minute film, narrated by Benedict Cumberbatch, looks at the significance of Jerusalem for many cultures over thousands of years, and includes unique footage of iconic holy sites.

Mark Katz, president of NGCV Distribution, said, “We are extremely pleased that this film has been such a success. It has really struck a positive emotional chord with audiences of all ages all around the world.  We have been excited about this film from the very beginning, and reaching this box office milestone confirms that audiences are as well.”
