Alton Towers is enhancing its Halloween event for 2026 with a new story-driven dining experience called Dine with the Dead.
The Scarefest 2026 experience is the first of its kind at Alton Towers, inviting guests to a "twisted dinner party" hosted by Lord Vincent and Lady Lucinda Vile as they celebrate 300 years of "toxic matrimony".
"What begins as an elegant reception soon becomes something far more unsettling, as guests meet the mysterious Vile family and some of their most peculiar acquaintances," Alton Towers said.
The immersive experience comprises three sections – the cocktail party, the three-course meal, and the afterparty. Each part is more terrifying than the last, the resort added.
Guests will enjoy spooky performances, eerie encounters and specialist live entertainment around the dinner table as they take on active roles in the evening's chilling events.
"Dine with the Dead will bring something completely different to the Scarefest 2026 line-up, immersing families in a spine-tingling story where they are not simply watching the spookiness unfold – they are right at the heart of it," said Howard Ebison, vice president of Alton Towers.

Scarefest 2026 begins on 26 September and is available to book from then through 1 November. Tickets to Dine with the Dead start at £69 per person.
In recent years, operators in the visitor attractions industry have significantly increased investment in Halloween events to drive seasonal attendance, offering major horror brands, immersive experiences and extreme attractions.
Elsewhere in the UK, an award-winning immersive horror experience called The Nightmare Realm is set to make its debut in London this Halloween.
