Johor’s $3.2m Dragon Opens

A huge dragon, “The Prosperity Dragon” is vying for records in a small town in Johor, Malaysia.

TheĀ 106.9m-long dragon tunnel is the latest addition to the tourism boom in Malaysia.

Probably theĀ biggest dragon tunnel in the country and possibly theĀ world, the creature covers just over a hectareĀ of the Green Garden of Che Ann Khor Yong Peng Association grounds at Taman Kota Impian.

TheĀ RM8m (S$3.2m) dragon tookĀ three years to buildĀ and the interiorĀ of the hollow structureĀ is decorated with Chinese cultural and religious paintings.

Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar launched the dragon tunnelĀ at a glittering ceremony alongside his son, Ā Tunku Temenggong Tunku Idris Iskandar and 5, 000 invited guests.
