KCC Entertainment Design, a leading creator of themed environments, has announced that Mega City, an entertainment destination on Slough High Street, has been shortlisted for Best FEC at the 2026 Park World Excellence Awards.
KCC Entertainment Design designed the venue, delivering concept and detailed design, plus procurement, for Wellstone.
The venue is housed in a former high-street retail space, redesigned across three floors and two mezzanines into a unified entertainment experience rather than separate rooms. The key design focus was to create a smooth guest journey, allowing seamless movement between floors with curated attractions, bars, and dining areas integrated into the route.
This setup lets visitors enjoy their experience from early afternoon until late at night without leaving the venue.
Inside, Mega City features ten bowling lanes, over 130 arcade machines, and a laser tag arena for up to 24 players. It also includes laser raid and laser maze challenges, batting cages, augmented reality clay shooting and darts, VR experiences, karaoke, private party rooms, pool tables, Flashpads, an interactive football zone, and a Digital Box Room.

Designed for families, young adults, group events, and corporate entertainment, Mega City offers a diverse range of entertainment options.
Three KCC-designed venues shortlisted
Mega City has been nominated for Best FEC alongside two other KCC-designed projects, Bonkers Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) and JUMA (France). This means KCC designed three of the six shortlisted venues in this category.
It marks KCC's third entry in the Best FEC category within four years: Adrenark Adventure, created for Al Barakah Group in Abu Dhabi, won FEC of the Year in 2023, and JUMA earned a Highly Commended award in 2025.

Visitors to Mega City can also enjoy various VR and AR acitivities
"Running the venue day to day, I see first-hand how guests actually move through the space; a family comes in for bowling, waits in the arcade, grabs dinner, then finishes with a round of football and cricket before heading out. That was the whole idea behind the design, and it's exactly how it plays out in practice.

KCC Entertainment Design also recently designed the new BOLTS brand for Adventure World Entertainment (AWE), from concept to completion. BOLTS, AWE's first move into social entertainment, has opened its doors in Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
