CAP.Co launches playground design competition

CAP.Co, the adventure play specialist, has launched a new competition to design the ultimate adventure playground.

Creating Adventurous Places (CAP.Co) is pleased to announce an exciting new competition in response to the lockdown caused by the global coronavirus pandemic. The company has challenged people to come up with a design for a unique and imaginative new playground and is looking forward to seeing some new ideas on what imaginative play can look like.

The most imaginative, crazy or impressive design will win a family ticket to any one of CAP.Co’s play spaces in the UK.

Design a new adventure

“Everyone, young and old, has one or more amazing playground designs in them so we’d like to see your most fabulous ideas for what imaginative play should REALLY look like,” said the company.

“There’s no idea too big or small, we can perhaps overlook gravity, safety and common sense for the period of the lockdown and just dream up and design what you think would be the most incredible adventure play you can imagine.”

While the competition is just a small way to create some fun during the current situation, the company is looking forward to seeing all the different entries and will be rewarding the best with a family ticket to the CAP.Co play space of their choice.

Entries are welcomed in a range of formats, including but not limited to:

  • Lego
  • Straw bales
  • Kinex
  • Pencil
  • Meccano
  • Crayon
  • Computer graphics
  • Pen and ink
  • Etch-a-Sketch
  • Any combination of the above

Entries can be submitted by email. CAP.Co encourages everyone to have a little fun and get creative.

The company also began construction at the end of 2019 on a series of new play areas for Nansledan, the Duchy of Cornwall’s extension to Newquay. CAP.Co is designing and building six adventure play spaces across the community in Cornwall.
