Valo Motion, a pioneer in combining interactive technology with physical activities, introduces its second new product in 2026: ValoBoard. This multiplayer mixed-reality board attraction aims to make the excitement of board sports more accessible.

ValoBoard, the fifth addition to the Valo Motion product line, is also the first designed around a physical controller. It will make its debut at IAAPA Expo Europe 2026 at ExCeL London.

Guests step onto a tilt board, and ValoVision, Valo Motion’s exclusive full-body tracking system, immerses them in the game world displayed on the screens ahead. They shift their weight to steer, lean to aim, and jump to dodge obstacles, with their movements recorded instantly.

Making board sports more accessible

“Board sports have captured people’s imagination for decades, but experiencing that rush is often out of reach," says Dr Raine Kajastila, CEO of Valo Motion.

"You need a mountain, an ocean, or years of learning to master them. ValoBoard removes those barriers, making the excitement of board sports accessible to a much wider audience. It takes balance and core strength and turns them into a fun, multiplayer game experience.

"For our operators, ValoBoard opens up an exciting new category of fantasy board sports. It delivers multiplayer fun on a compact footprint, appeals to a broad range of guests, and runs without staff. We are proud to show it for the first time at IAAPA Expo Europe this year, on Valo Motion’s 10th anniversary."

Key product details for operators include a footprint of 15 square metres (161 square feet) under a standard 2.7 metre (8 foot 11) ceiling, requiring no structural modifications or special flooring. The system supports 2- to 3-minute sessions and accommodates 70 to 74 riders per hour with gated admission using Rush Hour mode.

It is operated unmanned, eliminating the need for wearables, headsets, or guest onboarding, and requires no maintenance. Supported business models include gated admission and pay-to-play, with remote management via Operations Hub, Valo Motion's cloud platform for scheduling, branding, and performance monitoring.

Each ride session ends with a QR code that guests can scan to receive a branded video of their ride, encouraging organic social sharing and helping the operator acquire new customers.

Three original games

ValoBoard is suitable for guests aged 6 and up and especially appeals to teenagers and young adults who often compare attractions to the games they already enjoy at home. The three launch games are designed to meet these expectations: engaging mixed-reality experiences that are easy to learn but challenging to master.

Sunset Skaters is a fast-paced skating race across three lanes. Trickpunk Snowboarding offers a mountain sandbox where each rider can choose their own path down. Spinblades is a two-player head-to-head battle on a floating platform.

All three games attract cautious first-time players, competitive groups, and returning guests aiming for higher scores.

Valo Motion is showcasing ValoBoard and Groundfall, launched earlier in 2026, at booth #S2502 at ExCeL London from 22 - 24 September.

Kajastila will introduce the new products and reflect on the company’s first decade during a press conference at the booth on Tuesday 22 September 22, at 3:20 p.m. The Valo Motion team will be available throughout the event to provide demos, and all visitors are welcome to try out the new offerings.
