New FEC offers arcade games, fun climbing, laser tag, VR experiences, go-karting and more

Embed, a leading worldwide supplier of point-of-sale and revenue management systems, has partnered with Fun Land Entertainment Centers to announced the successful opening of a brand new venue, Fun Land of Fairfax, in Centerville, Virginia.

This new FEC location is home to 100 arcade games as well as a Clip ‘n Climb ropes course, indoor go-karting, laser tag and HOLOGATE VR, all set over 50,000 square feet. The venue also features Fun Land’s first fill restaurant, Tailgaters Sports Grill.

Embed has provided 155 of its award-winning smartTOUCH readers, plus self-service kiosks to support this new venture, allowing it to benefit from easy upsell features and to offer visitors package deals and streamlined game card reloading.

Tailored solutions

Fun Land had already implemented Embed’s innovative solutions at its Fredericksburg location and subsequently chose the same technology for its new venue in order to provide a quality, custom-tailored guest experience.

“Fun Land of Fairfax is our second location,” says Clint Novak, General Manager, Fun Land of Fredericksburg. “The biggest challenge with opening the facility revolved around COVID restrictions. But we have been following the CDC guidelines and the Virginia Health Department, and we are really excited to see what the future holds.”

“We are completely focused on providing tailored solutions to help our customers drive more profits for their business by increasing their revenue, reducing their costs, and achieving their business goals,” says Renee Welsh, CEO Solutions Group.

“Our ‘customer first’ approach focuses on solutions that enable the optimum guest experience, and it’s the driver behind our development efforts because when the customer thrives, the operator thrives!”

Embed launched several new initiatives in the wake of COVID-19, designed to help operators recover from the impacts of the pandemic, including giving away its award-winning Mobile Wallet free for one year and publishing new insight papers.
