Greenspan Projects Game Over Par 59

Greenspan Projects Ltd., a creative design and build specialist, has completed work on an indoor golfing and leisure project in the English city of Bristol.

Par 59 is a new partnership between Gareth Bale‘s Elevens Group and The DEPOT, Cardiff’s innovative events firm. Par 59 is a sleek new premier bar experience with a twist that debuted in the vibrant city of Cardiff. The latest addition to the brand in Bristol can be found tucked among the busy harbourside and features a sleek and sophisticated bar that serves everything from drinks to craft brews.

Next to the bar is independent kitchen Dirty Bird (known as Dirty Birdie exclusively for the venue), which serves great chicken, nachos, burgers, fries, and more – but the highlight of the evening is the pub’s two 9-hole mini golf courses, each with a colourful flair.

Navigating themed elements

The courses weave through the heart of the venue and allow visitors to play through in groups, or as a pair while enjoying a delicious drink. Packed full of nostalgic prompts to tempt any fan of competitive play, each with their own challenge and often Par-59-esque props, the courses weave through the heart of the venue and allow visitors to play through in groups, or as a pair, while enjoying a delicious drink.

The venue has 15,000 square feet of bar and restaurant space, two custom-designed mini golf courses, and a separate darts lounge with four augmented darts boards, with a maximum capacity of 500.

Working closely with the client

Visitors will be taken on a journey via several vintage games from various eras with courses including Duck Shoot, The Glory Hole, Carousel, Cue it Up, and Cards and Dice.

Notable features of the courses include bespoke finished golf holes, colourful artificial grass, bright LED lighting, special FX and highly detailed props in keeping with the overall theme.

A company representative says: “Greenspan were delighted to create the bespoke golf holes for both courses – from the initial design concepts to the innovative props and completed sleek structures equipped with lighting and colour-changing golf cups.

“As always, it was important to work closely with the client to ensure that the vision has been brought to life – and the Par 59 team really know how to create quirky and nostalgic themes! They have thus created a fun and immersive venue that will provide countless colourful and eccentric backdrops for Instagrammable pictures that won’t even require much of a filter!”

Greenspan Projects recently received third place in the Themed Environment category of this year’s blooloop Innovation Awards for its work on the world’s first underground adventure golf course at Zip World Llechwedd.
