Lego Discovery Centre features more than 3,000 square metres of family-friendly attractions.

Merlin Entertainments has opened its first next-generation Lego Discovery Centre in Brussels, with the indoor attraction featuring a new look and design.

Home to interactive Lego play experiences, Lego Discovery Centre offers more than 3,000 square metres of family-friendly attractions. These include a train ride on the Imagination Express and a 4D cinema.

“Over the past few months, we’ve worked very hard to make the Lego Discovery Centre Brussels the ultimate place for children and their families to play, discover, create and have fun together,” said Michelle Hoeneveld, general manager.

“The Lego Discovery Centre Brussels is unique thanks to a number of brand-new play experiences, including a new state-of-the-art space experience ‘Space Mission’.”

The new Lego Discovery Centre boasts 12 zones. These include Duplo Park, Build Adventure, Mini World, Imagination Express, Creative Club, and Heroes Adventures.

Guests can also build their own Minifigures, meet the Master Model Builder in the workshop, eat at the Lego Café, and enjoy the ‘Lego tree of imagination’.

“Top quality learning through play is a cornerstone of the Lego Discovery Centre experience and I am very much looking forward to teaching all children new building techniques and challenging them creatively,” said Sieber Bulteel, Master Model Builder.

Merlin owns and operates 27 Legoland Discovery Centres across the globe. The company’s attractions portfolio also includes nine Legoland Resorts on four continents.

Washington, DC is getting a new Lego Discovery Centre in 2023. Co-created by the Lego Group and Merlin, it will feature more than two million Lego bricks.

“We look forward to revealing more special details over the coming months ahead of welcoming our first visitors in 2023,” said Meike Lippert, senior divisional director for Midway Europe and global new openings at Merlin Entertainments.

Last month, Legoland Korea Resort opened in Chuncheon. It is the 10th Legoland destination in the world, and the first Legoland resort to be built on an island.
