Series of tasks put colleagues to the test for good cause

Rainbow Productions, a leading character events company and mascot manufacturer, has helped raise funds for a UK charity.

The company’s managing director Simon Foulkes undertook Rainbow’s first-ever ‘I’m a Director…Get Me Out of Here!’ fundraising challenge last month.

Taking place at Wimbledon’s Old Ruts Rugby Club, Foulkes raised £1,400 for St Raphael’s Hospice. The charity supports local families coping with life-limiting illnesses.

Foulkes says: “It was a truly unique experience! I have to admit to being incredibly nervous the night before but the support from the rest of my camp-mates, friends and colleagues from Rainbow made the whole day utterly unforgettable.

“Collectively, raising just under £19,000 for St Raphael’s Hospice was the greatest achievement and even made slurping down the vomit fruit smoothie worthwhile – never thought I would ever say those words in a sentence!”

Bushtucker Challenges

The Rainbow Productions team underwent a series of laughable and stomach-churning challenges in the London jungle, with directors taking on bushtucker trials to raise funds for the hospice.

The leaders were pushed to their limits with a range of creepy crawlies and snakes, as well as remarkable food delicacies including fish eyes, lamb tongues, vomit fruit smoothies and fermented “eggs-presso” martinis. The courageous efforts of the participants have raised important funds for the local community.

St Raphael’s Hospice has served the local community for more than three decades, providing expert hospice care for people in the London districts of Merton and Sutton at no charge. The organisation provides care for all adults, regardless of characteristics such as race or religion.

Last month, Rainbow Productions announced a selection of additional characters being added to its portfolio, including characters from the CoComelon and Dino Ranch franchises. The new costumes follow the addition of popular CBeebies animated series last year including Bluey and Go Jetters, with the former also on international streaming service Disney+.
