Chris Stanton, head of UK sales will be in attendance with sales executive Sarah Dennehy on Stand 45.

Stanton also features in the seminar line-up, discussing the benefits that licensed character appearances and branded pop-up experiences bring to the leisure & retail industry.

He says “Originally planned for 2020, we are thrilled to finally be showcasing our services at InterFun Expo. Firm favourites Hey Duggee, PAW Patrol and Peppa Pig have been joined by a host of new licensed characters including Baby Shark, Bluey, JJ from CoComelon and Jon & Blitz from Dino Ranch, who are sure to be a hit and will help venues offer the ultimate family day out experience.”

Rainbow will also be returning to the Middle East’s DEAL 2022 event, taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 28 – 30 March. Representing the company on Stand 7-D20 will be managing director, Simon Foulkes and export manager James Barlow.

Innovation during lockdowns

The mascot supplier used the lockdown caused by COVID-19 as an opportunity to invest in staff training and innovation. Rainbow acquired new innovative methods of rotational moulding, digital manufacturing technology, and new fabrics for clients.

Barlow says “Up until now we have predominantly produced lightweight structured foam heads, but the addition of this technology will now give clients the option of lightweight solid resin heads.”

Rainbow productions say these investments have provided it with a “long-term global competitive edge”, allowing them to remain at the forefront of the worldwide costume character market.

Rainbow Productions are already a dominant figure in Dubai, working with many of the leading theme parks there including Ferrari World, Global Village, IMG World of Adventures and Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi

Their most recent project included creating sporting mascots for Saudi Professional Football League’s sixteen teams.

Last year, Rainbow Productions made its debut at the Saudi Entertainment and Amusement Expo (SEA) 2021.
