project: syntropy, a creator of technology and display solutions for dome cinemas and immersive attractions, and VIOSO, a leading provider of blending, warping and video mapping software solutions for system integrators and event professionals, together presented a unique attraction ride exhibit at IAAPA Expo Europe.
The event took place in London from 21 to 25 September, with the show floor open from 22 to 24 September.
The concept merges a physical ride vehicle and environment with projected digital content, enabling guests to move through changing worlds without rebuilding physical sets.

Demonstrating how digital environments can transform a physical ride experience, the projection-mapped attraction concept showcased the possibilities when an ambitious creative vision, deep attraction expertise, and advanced projection technology are combined from the outset.
"An experience like this cannot be created by a single technology or a single company," says Benjamin Fritsch, CEO of VIOSO.
"It was only through our close collaboration with project: syntropy, and the complete combination of our individual strengths, that this exceptional concept could become a reality."
project: syntropy led the concept, experience design, projection design and overall project implementation, with specialist expertise in automated calibration and image processing from VIOSO.
Custom-designed for project: syntropy’s attraction concept, VIOSO's calibration solution was integrated into the exhibit through close partnership between both teams.
Tested partnership
This collaboration is founded on long-term successful cooperation and a clear division of responsibilities.
The full attraction experience, including projection design and interactive technology, is developed and designed for the operator by project: syntropy, with support from VIOSO as a specialised calibration technology partner.
As such, the ride exhibit is not a conventional solution that can be produced through individual technical components alone. Instead, it results from an integrated development process informed by both companies' expertise.

Operators interested in creating a similar attraction or ride experience can benefit from support delivered by this proven collaboration, with project: syntropy managing the overall concept and project delivery.
Recently, project: syntropy designed, engineered and delivered the entire visual system for the Digital Sandtable at the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center (SUPEC) at People's Square in Shanghai.
