Royal Caribbean has unveiled its fourth Icon Class cruise ship, the record-breaking Hero of the Seas.
Arriving in Miami in August 2027, Hero of the Seas will feature eight neighbourhoods, home to the most pools at sea, a record-breaking 28 dining venues, and new family raft slides.
"Icon Class truly set a new standard for family vacations, and Hero of the Seas takes that vision even further," said Michael Bayley, president and CEO of Royal Caribbean.

"With more water, more thrills and more choices for all ages, we’re continuing to build on what our guests love about Royal Caribbean and delivering the experiences families are looking for when vacationing together."
Highlights on Hero of the Seas include nine pools, from the new Coconut Cove to an expanded Swim & Tonic pool and swim-up bar for adults.
The Category 6 water park will feature on the new ship, and will boast two new family raft slides, including the first tunnel raft slide at sea.

Additional attractions include the Crown's Edge skywalk/zip line experience, the FlowRider surf simulator, the Adrenaline Peak rock-climbing wall, and the Lost Dunes mini-golf course.
As for F&B, venues include the newest supper club experience, Orleans Parish Supper Club – a multi-course dining venue serving gourmet Cajun and Creole dishes.
Royal Railway – Hero Station is billed as the most immersive dining experience at sea, and the AquaDome Market food hall will return with four new stall concepts.

Signature Icon Class experiences on Hero of the Seas include Pearl – the world's largest kinetic art sculpture, the open-air Central Park lined with more than 30,500 real plants, and new productions at the ship's theatres.
