Event Network, a leading retail operator for experiential cultural attractions in the United States, is celebrating its latest environmental accolade.
The merchandising environment firm has announced it was the winner of a 2021 SEAL Award for business sustainability, which honours Sustainability, Environmental Achievement and Leadership.
The award recognises specific achievements by Event Network in the development and maintenance of sustainable retail environments, using carefully selected environmentally-friendly materials. This pledge to environmentally-conscious environments requires the company to provide a complete commitment during its planning and construction project management processes.
The company’s clients last year included the National Museum of the United States Army and Zoo Atlanta, amongst other partnerships.
A sustainable commitment

Event Network’s environmental initiatives have been previously recognised by the SEAL program, winning the 2019 SEAL distinction for sustainable product packaging design and achievements in reducing waste during product shipping and repackaging, for the company’s efficient and sustainable supply chain management practices.
Event Network principal and chief marketing officer Jerry Gilbert says “Event Network’s commitment to using sustainable and recyclable materials, creating a single-use plastic-free environment, conserving energy, and reducing waste is built into the DNA of our retail planning on multiple levels.
“It is important to us that we demonstrate this through the merchandise we sell inside the shops; how those products are sourced, packaged and shipped; and how we design and construct the retail environments.
“Behind the scenes, we work hard to ensure that our store remodels live up to our and our partners’ sustainability values and missions because it is the right thing to do – to get credit for it is just a bonus.”
“A great honour”
Sustainable building practices are applied to each retail location operated by Event Network, spanning nearly 100 partnerships. The company have worked with many of America’s leading cultural attractions, providing sustainable store environments for locations that attract approximately 70 million visitors each year.
Gilbert adds “On behalf of our whole team, we thank the SEAL committee for bringing awareness to the importance of sustainability in business practices. It is a great honour to be recognised among this group of esteemed companies who are doing their part to protect the planet.”

Last month, Event Network unveiled its latest retail installation at Zoo Atlanta, which emphasises the company’s focus on sustainability and conservation.
